2017 Golden Fife and Parade Marshal - Call for Nominations

Do you know a Boxborough resident who makes a significant difference for the town and deserves to be recognized? Are there Boxborough employees, residents, or friends who should be honored for their special contributions this past year? This is your opportunity to nominate an unsung hero who has improved the town and made a difference in the lives of residents.

The Boxborough Public Celebrations and Ceremonies Committee is requesting nominations for the 2017 Golden Fife and Parade Marshal. Both honorees play a pivotal role in the Fifer's Day Parade and Festival. The Golden Fife, considered the town's highest honor, is awarded to a Boxborough resident who has demonstrated exemplary long-term service and commitment to the community. The Parade Marshal is someone who has done something exceptional for the town, but not necessarily long-term, and he/she does not have to be a resident.

Paper nomination forms and a submission box are also available at Town Hall and the Sargent Memorial Library. There will also be a nominations box at Town Meeting.

Nominations must be submitted by Tuesday, May 9, 2017.

The winners will ride in the Fifer's Day Parade and receive an award at the Fifer's Day Opening Ceremonies at Flerra Meadows on June 17th. Please contact Trena Minudri at ab1712@yahoo.com with any questions.
