Council on Aging
The Boxborough Council on Aging (CoA) is a Town department which offers Town seniors (age 60 and older) a variety of programs, services and events. Some examples of what we do include:
- The Buzz Monthly Newsletter
- Monthly lunches
- Subsidized exercise classes
- Drop-in Game Day
- Senior transportation services
- Referrals for fuel assistance
- Medicare SHINE Counselor
- Coordinate the Senior Tax Work Off Program
We also provide various referral information to our seniors and to those who have family members who are seniors and live in Boxborough. The staff works closely with the CoA Board and the FCoA Board to offer programs and services.
Council on Aging Mission
The mission of the Council on Aging is to advocate for Boxborough Seniors by enhancing their quality of life and independence through programs and services designed to address their health, economic and transportation concerns as well as social and cultural interests.
